In the survey that was sent to Autism-Products.com customers, 87% of the loved ones with Autism
currently take or did take Acetaminophen once or more per month.

74% of the respondents said that their loved one with Autism took Acetaminophen right before or right after vaccinations.  75% of the mothers took Acetaminophen at least once a month during pregnancy.

While acetaminophen has not been tied to Autism, there are some coincidences that can’t be dismissed.

In 1980 aspirin was tied to Reyes syndrome which increased the sales of Acetaminophen from $400 million in the early 80’s to $2.6 trillion in 2008.  The increase in Acetaminophen use and the rise of Autism could be just bad timing, but one can’t help but raise and eyebrow.

In Cuba the rate of Autism is 298 times lower than in the US.  Acetaminophen is banned in Cuba, but the drug Metamizole is prescribed if the child presents with a fever after vaccines.  Metamizole is used in many countries but is banned in the US because it may cause agranulocytosis.

Other interesting stats from the survey –
82% were male
98% of the respondents have been vaccinated
