Harold Ramírez Dyes His Hair Blue for Autism Awareness!
What better reason could you have for dying your hair blue?
It was apparent that Harold Ramírez was a big personality and an even bigger team player. Not only has he dyed his hair blue in support of his five-year-old son Elian and raised awareness
about autism spectrum disorders, but blue also happens to be the color of his team, the Tampa Bay Rays, so that we could be seeing a lot more blue in the future!
Elian, Harold Ramírez’s eldest son, was diagnosed with autism over three years ago, and promoting autism awareness is something that is particularly important to Ramírez as he and his
family support his son.

When asked what the most crucial thing he felt people should learn about people with autism and those on the spectrum, Ramírez replied, “they are just normal everyday people. Based on my experience, they are gifted, intelligent, and feel so much.”
Autism month is April 1 st to April 30 th each year, and there are a number of different ways that you can get involved in Autism awareness and helping in a positive way to spread the word about autism. For example, the international color for autism is blue, and there are a bunch of different activities during autism month that you can participate in.
However, autism shouldn’t just be talked about or discussed during special days or events. Everyday we owe it to those on the spectrum to promote and improve awareness surrounding those on the spectrum and some of the challenges that they and their family and friends are dealing with.
We’re seeing more and more people coming out in support of those with autism, and it’s great to see. The more awareness we create, the better off the world will be and the better place it will be
to live for those with autism.
It’s becoming more apparent that the world is beginning to open its eyes regarding autism and other spectrum disorders. More and more, we see television shows, movies, and celebrities addressing autism and the challenges that people diagnosed are facing.
As with anything, the more awareness we can raise, the better off we’ll all be, especially those
dealing with the challenges of being on the spectrum themselves. If you have any questions about autism products or would like to find more information about sensory products, then
