Description
Our new sensory-friendly style mask gets the highest grade for COMFORT, SAFETY and USABILITY. The face mask design features 3 layers of protection, is reusable and is available in a x-small child face mask through large adult face masks. It is made with three layers of 100% cotton. Super-soft nylon spandex cording spans the bottom and top of the mask then extends to a 3-pound release safety clip.

Our design decreases the ‘ear fatigue’ that other face covers generate from elastic looping solely around the ears. It also allows the mask to rest comfortably at the neck when it’s not needed. When you want to bring the mask back in place over the mouth and nose, simply loop it back up over the ears.
Our current color/pattern selection is Blue Wave on one side and Blue on the reverse side. Our masks are reversible for color/pattern preferences.
For ease of laundering, we have made the masks with highest quality 3-ply 100% cotton that is both machine washable and dryable. To extend the life I would recommend hang drying.

This is our second order for these masks. The cloth is durable and helps our son who wears glasses avoid irritation of having too much on his ears. I only wish that the breakaway was not placed so close to the the loosest position. Because of the placement, we could not tighten as much as needed and had to cut the band and hand sew back together… kind defeating the purpose of having a breakaway.

We ordered 5 (XS, S, and M). These are very well made and my sensory kid was crying because I made him take it off for dinner. The sizing was accurate as well. We would love other colors but it’s not a deal breaker. One kid with pretty big tactile issues did say it was itchy but I think that it is quite smooth. I honestly think he is more against mask wearing in general vs the actual masks.

I didn’t really expect to have success with these masks but when the adaptive ski program unequivocally required make of all skiers, we knew we had to find a way. Our awesome PT found these and sent me the link.
Handmade and disposable masks weren’t successful. I slipped this mask on and it stayed on. For minutes, without holding down hands or a fight. Within in the first 20 minutes of taking it out if the mailing pick, we were up to 6 minutes. Distracted by an iPad video, but left on. WOW! The next day, we went to a restaurant and it was worn walking into and out of the restaurant. No fight!! Ski season, here we come!! Incredible!!! Bought 2 more within 2 hours of receipt.

Our daughter is 18, 5’10” with relative microcephaly and falls between the large and medium size. Both fit, one a touch too small, one a touch too big. May run the large through the dryer to shrink a bit. But with one strap so much easier!!

The adjustment does not stay in place like a bra strap, you have to leave a loop sticking out. Once the mask is pulled down, it has to be readjusted. This is not very easy to manipulate for young hands that have fine motor difficulties. We bought one for our daughter who is ASD and SPD with fine motor challenges. We also bought one for her father and myself. For the adults, it is very comfortable as we have no problems manipulating the toggle.

My daughter is seven and on the spectrum (what used to be called Asperger’s) and this is the first mask she was able to keep on for more than five minutes. I recommended it to friends and coworkers (I’m a teacher) as an option for kids with sensory issues. I wish it wasn’t so pricey, but it’s totally worth the money.

I am a teacher who has some sensory processing issues, and I was very concerned about trying to teach a mask. I haven’t been able to wear any other mask for a long period of time without feeling short of breath and panicky. The school did provide me with a face shield, but I couldn’t wear that either; I couldn’t shake the feeling of still having that foam across my forehead even hours after I took it off.
But this mask? I can wear it comfortably all day and teach without issue. The single strap buckles nicely under my hair and stays in place so well that one of my students actually wanted to know how it didn’t move around when I talked! Obviously any mask is going to restrict how deeply you can breathe (I still get frustrated trying to sing in church), but this one handles it a lot better than others I’ve tried, probably because it does leave a little space in front of my nose and mouth. It also doesn’t make me sweat as much as other masks.
All in all, this is a fantastic product that I would 100% recommend!

Best purchase ever!! My son is very sensitive to anything touching his ears and he will let this mask on without issue. The adjustable band really helps to keep it loose on the head and ears, which was honestly the key selling point for me. It also sits far enough away from the face that it makes it easier to breathe. I’ve been wearing this mask for a week now. It’s very comfortable and easy to slide on and off by the straps without touching the face covering portion.
