Foreword by Dr. Temple Grandin

In the real world, people on the autism spectrum need the same kinds of day-to-day skills everyone else needs to be functional! It’s true. Haven’t read it yet, but I’m sure it’s going to be very enlightening. My nephew was diagnosed as Asperger’s in his junior year in high school. My sister could definitely write a book! He’s very intelligent, but has the social stigma that has been hard for him to navigate. Looking forward to learning more, from someone who knows & has experienced more!

I just got this book the other day. I have not got the chance to actually sit down and read it but I did look through some of it. Chapter 11 Tap into your Child’s Interests hits home. I have a few relative that want to be able to have a decent conversation with my son and I have been telling them this for many many years. At least 15 years. My son was diagnosed at the age of five having autism or Asperger’s.
