I am so happy that I was able to give my 4 year old a great haircut with him being calm and happy. He is terrified of clippers and we have had horror shows at barbers and salons! The reason I am not giving 5 stars is because it took me over 90 minutes in total to complete the hair cut. I had a very difficult time with the scissors actually cutting his hair. I expected a learning curve, but it seems like the scissors may have been too dull to actually cut unless a very specific amount of hair, angle, and pressure was applied. This complicated the process quite a bit. I switched the clippers out several times, and my kiddo was a trooper. If I’m missing something from the instructions or any other info I’d love to know! Thank you for creating this.

My grandson’s hair was really long and wild. My daughter-in-law said he could have a ponytail in a month, if it wasn’t cut soon. We sat him outside with a popsicle and used the calming clipper. His hair is much shorter and manageable now. The haircut is not perfect, but eventually he will let us do a better job with time.

I like the product and the fact that there wasn’t the buzzing noise or the vibrations that are associated with normal Clippers. The down side is that after cutting hair of my sons hair, I noticed the blade was dull to the point of pulling my sons hair instead of cutting it. If it didn’t get dull so fast I would love it.

My son has Autism and has always had a terrible time getting his hair cut, even though I took him into a professional barber since he was little.. I thought eventually he would get used to it. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case because the sensory is just too much for him. Now 7 years later, I thought I would save my money and try cutting it at home, especially during this pandemic. I tried traditional clippers at first, which were low noise but he wasn’t having it. Anything that makes a buzzing sound he doesn’t want by his head like that. I found these Calming Clipper scissors online and decided to give it a try. They are SO easy to use!! What a great invention! My son still doesn’t like haircuts, but it is definitely better without the noise of traditional clippers buzzing. I’m hopeful that over time he will calm down even more about getting his hair cut. I love all the different guard options for different hair cut lengths that are all included. Everything you need is in this kit. Super quality product and very well made. For someone who doesn’t really know how to cut hair (me), these scissors make it so easy!! Overall this was a great investment and I’m so glad I purchased them.
