Using weight to offer proprioceptive feedback is effective for children with autism, sensory integration disorders and many other neurological challenges. Great for older children, this unique and comfortable hoodie features 5 lbs of inconspicuous weight that runs along edge of hood , across the top and back of shoulders, and down the front on each side of the zipper.
Cotton polyester blend sweatshirt with steel weights.
Small Hoodie measures 19 in W x 26 in L. Fits individuals with a chest size up to 35 inches around.
Medium Hoodie measures 21in W x 27in L. Fits individuals with a chest size up to 39 inches around.
Large Hoodie measures 23 in W x 28 in L. Fits individuals with a chest size up to 43 inches around.
*Width is measured across the chest – armpit to armpit. Length is measured from middle of top shoulder seam to bottom of garment.

This product is well made. The weights are concealed nicely all around the perimeter of the sweatshirt including the hood so it’s not so obvious to other kids. Today is our first day wearing it at school so we shall see if it helps keep the anxiety at bay.

The sizing is definitely not for children. I ordered a children’s large thinking it would fit a size 10-12 child (size large and size 10-12 are pretty even across the board in children’s sizes) and it’s too big for me, I’m 5’9” and 160 lbs. Beautiful pressure where the steel plates are, I just wish it was glass beads used in some weighted blankets instead of steel plates, less clunky/ noisy and easier to maneuver around.
