Durable, inflatable Sensory Pea Pod is made with super-strong vinyl and has tough triple-welded seams for added strength. Most children on the autism spectrum can get in the sensory peapod themselves, applying deep, even pressure to many sensitive areas of the body. Some autistic children like to gently rock side-to-side for a “cocooning-calm.” The velvety surface of the hugging pea pod is made with comfortable flocked vinyl and applies gentle pressure.

My son is on the spectrum and has sensory issues. He loves this, dove right in as soon as we inflated it. It is sturdy and seems well made. My only concern is that the valve to inflate the bottom is inside and surrounded by hard plastic. It is very scratchy and not flexible AT ALL and sits right where either his feet or butt are, depending on how he gets in.
