I am not a mechanical person, but the device that the swing hangs on is wonderful. The swing is allowed to turn and not get tangled and seems to hold the weight without any problems. Very secure.

We put two fourteen inch 2x4's together between the rafters of our basement and drilled this hook into them. The swing is secured very well.
